Fitness has always been a way of life for Ralph Stansbury. The retired high school teacher and wrestling coach was a highly successful wrestler at Westminster High School, Golden West College, and Long Beach State, and has maintained his commitment to fitness ever since. He was a member of the Orange County Wrestling Officials Association for 25 years, and in 2015 was inducted into the California Wrestling Hall of Fame.

For an athlete who never seems to slow down, having a great place to work out is a must, and Stansbury has been a fixture at Los Caballeros Sports Village for nearly four decades. We caught up with him after a recent workout to learn more about his passion for fitness and for Los Cab.

Why has fitness been important to you? Fitness has really been a lifestyle for me. It’s a habit more than anything else, but I like it because you stay fit and it makes you feel great. It has absolutely served me well in terms of my overall health.
