“Coach Mike” Fahey grew up in So Cal playing a variety of sports, but only discovered pickleball in recent years when his family decided to take a lesson together. The game sounded odd to him as he listened to the instructor explain the rules (why do you start at 0-0-2?), but once he started playing, he became hooked. His passion for the sport grew the more played, and when he realized that he loved teaching friends and even strangers how to play, he decided to pursue a teaching certification. Since becoming a PPR (Professional Pickleball Registry) certified instructor, he has taught over 500 students of various levels locally and abroad.Outside of teaching, Mike competes in major tournaments at the pro level in singles and doubles, pursues his other passion for filmmaking (which extends to making and sharing videos of his students learning and perfecting new techniques), and supports his favorite charities, NEGU and Gigi’s Playhouse. He is also a brand ambassador for CRBN Pickleball. At Los Cab, Coach Mike will be offering private and semi-private lessons, liveball sessions (with great music), and specialized clinics to help members develop their best game. Expect to have fun and enjoy yourself while learning – this is a game!
