Los Cab’s annual Polar Bear Challenge gave swimmers plenty of incentive to get in the pool during January and February – and some of the numbers posted were truly incredible. John LaBriola led all members with 212 miles logged during the two months (an average of more than 3.5 miles per day), and 10 other participants finished with more than 60 miles swam or hours of classes. Other top achievers included Robbie Wyatt (104 miles), Mike Selna (100 miles) and Henry Michaels (89 miles).

“I’m a swimmer myself, so I can safely say that these numbers are awesome,” said Fitness Director Marianne Grossman. “These swimmers are a dedicated bunch.”
