For Thao Le, Los Cab Sports Village has long been a major part of her life. A member for nearly 20 years and an employee who served as an events director and worked on the tennis desk for the last four years, Le will carry with her endless fond memories as she leaves the club to start the next chapter in her life. Le recently enrolled at Michigan State to pursue a medical degree.

She will study general medicine and won’t have to zero in on an area of specialty until her fourth year, but will surely put in plenty of long hours as she works toward her lifelong goal of becoming a doctor. If she is as dedicated to her studies as she was to her position as Los Cab, success is no doubt on the horizon. And while she is excited about chasing her dreams, she will miss the many things that made Los Cab a special place for her.

“This was probably one of the favorite jobs that I’ve ever had,” Le said. “What I love and will miss most about Los Cab is definitely the community.”

Le’s former duties at the club will be divided between Ana Lopez, who will handle club-wide events such as holiday pool parties, and Tracy Harris, who will manage for tennis-specific events like Doo-Dahs and tournaments. Le said she owes a debt of gratitude to all the people who have been part of her world during her nearly two decades at Los Cab.

“My experience at the club goes beyond the tennis desk,” Le said. “I’ve met the most amazing directors, supervisors, staff and members. I truly believe that it’s through their positivity, support, and encouragement that I’m even in medical school. I am forever grateful and will miss them very much.”
