COMPETITIVE SPIRIT ■ LOS CAB’S BEST WILL BE CROWNED CHAMPS
Anticipation is mounting as up to 100 tennis players of all ages and skill levels are expected to compete in the annual Los Cab Singles and Mixed Doubles Championships February 16-17. Players can register for $50 (and an additional $30 for a second division) through February 12. There will be 11 different divisions from 14U to seniors 80 and over, as well as an Open Division for the club’s best players. Linda Dorr at the Tennis Desk said the Singles and Mixed Doubles Championships are among the most exciting competitions of the year.
“There is a lot of pride associated with being able to say you’re a club champion,” Dorr said. “Winners in each division receive some great prizes that include guest passes, ball machine membership, and perhaps best of all, a great-looking jacket that identifies you as a club champion.”
