SUSAN ACKERMANN

Certifications & Specializations:

Susan Ackermann is a veteran fitness professional with over 40 years of experience in health and wellness, including 28 years serving the Los Cab community. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sports Medicine, a Master’s degree in Exercise Physiology, and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the NSCA. Susan also served as a professor at Hope University, where she taught Anatomy & Physiology and Health & Wellness.

Susan specializes in evidence-based, functional trainingdesigned to build strength, improve mobility, and support long-term health. Her coaching emphasizes smart movement, consistency, and sustainable habits, helping individuals feel strong, confident, and capable at every stage of life.

Susan is married to Craig Ackermann, a TPI golf professional, and together they have raised two children who are leaders in their own areas within the fitness industry.

Grounded in her faith, Susan’s mission is to help others move well, grow stronger, and live fully.

Shauna Frontera is a Certified Personal Trainer, Health Coach, and Nutrition Coach whose purpose is to help people transform through movement, nutrition, and breathwork. She specializes in the aging community and those looking to lose weight, build muscle, gain strength, and stay independent.

Clients love Shauna’s ability to break down exercises clearly, correct movement patterns, and make training fun—sometimes even adding dancing to the mix—while building strength, mobility, confidence, and helping prevent injuries. She blends functional training, corrective work, and stability exercises to help people move better, strengthen bones, and enjoy life to the fullest.

Whether your goal is to add power to your golf swing, improve agility on the pickleball court, hike longer, garden with ease, carry groceries, get up from the floor to play with grandkids, build your glutes, strengthen your core, or simply feel capable and strong every day, Shauna meets you where you are and helps you reach your full potential.

KAREN GEORGE

ACE Aqua Certified / ACE Nutrition & Pilates Certified / IDEA Certified

Karen has been in the fitness field for many years. She began as a group training instructor then moved on to personal training. In the late 1990ʼs, she found her “nitch” when she was introduced to Pilates exercise. After extensive training, Karen brought her popular Pilates Program to Los Cab. Karen works with clients ranging from teens to eighties and elite athletes to those with limitations. This work can be adapted to all ages and fitness levels. She still loves to be on the fitness floor working with the strength equipment. She feels these two disciplines are a great complement to each other.
